David Beckham health brand IM8 receives 10 hundred million US dollars growth financing

The health brand IM8, co-founded by former footballer David Beckham and health science company Prenetics, recently received 10 hundred million US dollars growth financing from Customer Value Fund under venture capital firm General Catalyst. The financing will cover IM7 70% of marketing expenditure, aiming to expand the customer base. General Catalyst will receive a capped share based on customer revenue obtained through the financing, and after the investment and return costs are recovered, IM8 will retain all customer value. Prenetics stated that this cooperation model provides a "third path" beyond equity financing and profit reinvestment, without diluting equity, sharing risks, and with funds specifically used for customer acquisition, repaid only from revenue generated by customers. IM8 was launched in 2024 12, featuring subscription-based supplement drinks Daily Ultimate Essentials and Daily Ultimate Longevity, reportedly with annualized recurring revenue already reaching 2 hundred million US dollars. Prenetics CEO and IM8 co-founder Danny Yeung pointed out that for every 1 US dollar of customer acquisition cost invested, it can bring 1.44 US dollars of gross profit, and this figure is rising month by month. This financing will help IM8 increase brand and marketing investment, while retaining Prenetics' cash for product innovation and clinical research, which has demonstrative significance for the growth model of the health supplement industry.
